Verifiable Credential
A digitally signed claim — a test certificate, an inspection result — that any holder can verify as authentic and unaltered without contacting the issuer.
Verification without disclosure
A buyer scanning a QR code can confirm a mill certificate was issued by the mill and has not been edited, while the price, the customer name and the rest of the consignment stay invisible. That separation is what makes it usable in a trading chain.
Anchoring
Only a hash of the credential goes on the ledger, never the document itself, so there is cryptographic proof of existence at a point in time without putting commercial data on a shared ledger.
