E-Mandate (NACH / UPI AutoPay)

A standing customer authorisation that lets a merchant present recurring debits automatically, within agreed limits, without the customer approving each one.

Why B2B collections change with it

Recurring invoices present themselves on the due date instead of being chased. For a distributor with hundreds of dealers, that converts a collections team into an exceptions team.

The limits are real

UPI AutoPay caps per-transaction value without re-authentication, and NACH requires pre-debit notification. Mandates also fail — expired cards, closed accounts, insufficient balance — so retry logic and a dunning sequence decide realised collection rates.
