The requirement that data physically remains within a defined jurisdiction, and the contractual commitments that back it.

Why it is now a procurement question

The DPDP Act, RBI payment data rules and many enterprise policies all constrain where data may be stored and processed. 'Cloud' is not an answer — the region, the sub-processors and the backup locations all have to be named.

How we handle it

India region by default for storage, processing, backups and logs, with sub-processors listed in the agreement and model inference run in-region or on a privately hosted model where a customer requires it.
